Study Playlist 2.

I don’t know about y’all but all of my midterms seem like they are starting up this week, and as much as I hate spending my time in the library, it’s the only place where I am guaranteed to be free of too many distractions. So to liven up my week (and hopefully yours), I put together this great study playlist with super chill and not too distracting songs that are just enough to keep you awake, but not too much to keep you from focusing on your studies. I hope that it helps you as much as it has helped me to stay motivated! PS, If you want the link to the playlist on Spotify, just comment below.

Christmas Fun!

The semester is quickly coming to a close and its about time that everyone gets into the holiday spirit! While Christmas itself is an awesome holiday, I personally love the weeks leading up to Christmas and all the fun events and jolly spirit that goes on! There are a ton of ways to enjoy your holiday season this year that I hope you all can take advantage of!

Go to your local Christmas Tree Lighting!

Most towns across America, big or small, usually have a town Christmas Tree Lighting in which the community gathers to share some Christmas cheer, donate gifts to a good cause, drink some hot chocolate, hear the high school band play Christmas tunes, and simply get together to celebrate! Whether you be from NYC and get to experience the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting, or just a local one in your town square, get out there and enjoy Christmas with your neighbors!

Christmas Shopping

Shopping around the holidays is always an experience! The malls and stores are super packed, but often decorated to the max and filled with people buzzing around, so it is always fun! Even if you are done with your gift searching, just browse around your local mall or outlet center to hear some Christmas jams and feel festive!

Watch the Christmas Classics!

I am sure that everyone has a favorite Christmas show that comes on the air around this time of year. And I know that everyone has been hearing about ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas! My personal favorite is Charlie Brown Christmas, but even if you just turn on the TV you will be sure to find a Christmas-themed television episode or movie, and it may even become your new annual tradition to watch it with family and friends!

Christmas Music!

Its just about that time of year when EVERY radio station in your town has changed from lite hits or classic rock to Christmas Music 24/7! Now is definitely an appropriate time to be jamming out to your favorite Christmas hits at all times, so feel free to roll down your windows and sing along to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” or the ever fabulous NSync “Merry Christmas Happy Holidays!”

Enjoy the Season!

Study Playlist

Hey everyone!

I know the semester is winding down and finals will soon be upon us all! While finals are often a time of stress and pressure, music can help make everything better! Whether you listen to music to study or need music as an escape, I have made a playlist on Spotify of my favorite study/relaxing jams. With this music, I can tune out the world and focus on my studies or just close my eyes for a minute and take a quick break from all the work. Enjoy!

First Signs of Spring!

Hello lovelies!  The sun is shining, the air is warm, and it’s OFFICIALLY springtime!  I don’t have a favorite season in particular, but I especially love the beginning of all of them.  There’s something about the promise of the season to come that gets me all excited.

Here in Massachusetts, we’ve had gorgeous sunny weather all week and it’s been amazing.  I seriously don’t want it to end!  I’ve been noticing a few tell-tale signs of springtime around my campus.  I’ll share them with you here…let us know in the comments if there are any signs of spring that you’ve noticed and I’ve missed!

1. Flowers are starting to bloom!  Where I go to school, this is limited to hearty flowers like daffodils and crocuses, but they’re gorgeous nonetheless.  I’ve also been seeing pictures that friends in DC and New York have been posting of cherry and apple blossoms, and I’m so jealous of their pretty flowering trees!

This morning, I turned into a bit of a nature photographer and took pictures of the pretty blooms on my campus.

2. People have come out of hibernation.  Granted, we had a mild winter and not many people stayed holed up inside, but all of a sudden it’s like an explosion of people on campus.  Frisbees, footballs, outdoor runs, people are getting outside and enjoying the sun.  I think a subset of this is all of the couples that have suddenly appeared.  It seems that everywhere I look, there is a couple holding hands or sneaking kisses on the quad.

I enjoy this part of spring the most because I love doing my homework outside in the sunshine.  It’s the best!  I’m even writing this blog post while sitting outside 🙂

3. All-of-a-sudden, I want to eat ice cream again.  I don’t know if this is just me, but there is something about spring that makes me want to walk around outside with an ice-cream cone.

4.  People are wearing shorts!  I’ve been wearing them all week, and I’ve been noticing that everyone else is too!  People want to show off the tans they got on spring break, and this weather is really letting them take advantage of it.

5. Music. Blasting. Everywhere.  Again, I don’t know if this is just my campus or not, but every spring when the weather starts to get nice again, people seem to take that as a license to blast music out of their windows.  Usually I don’t mind, but when I have to listen to dub step on my walk to Psych class, I’m going to be less than thrilled.

What are some of the signs of spring that you’ve noticed?

xoxo, Karoline
